Tyson K. Brown

Founder and Executive Director

Tyson K. Brown, a native of Columbia, South Carolina, is a first generation philanthropist, motivational speaker and consultant, public servant, undergraduate student, and the Executive Director of Project OneWay Incorporated. Born and raised in the Midlands, he has spent much time observing and addressing cultural ills that are historically responsible for heightened tension in many shared spaces, as well as advocating for those affected by it.

In line with his commitment to fostering more equitable opportunities for the next generation (beyond it, and before it), Tyson authored a "Corporate Culture Consulting" curriculum in 2023, with a particular emphasis on fostering increased (high-paying) opportunities for the next generation, in amicable environments untainted by unaddressed generational differences. The overarching intention of the literature, however, is to serve as a guide for establishing strong, and distinct corporate culture by highlighting three developmental components in every organization: the individual cultures of employees, the way that their individual cultures influence their communication habits, and how those habits contribute to the overarching organizational culture.

All in all, Tyson has a very clear vision for the development of environmental culture, a mind that strategizes to produce meaningful outcomes, and a determination to help people become the most complete versions of themselves!

In his volunteer time, he serves as a member of the Richland Library Board of Trustees.
